I have two months to finish my senior collection before showing at the end of April - if I get into the show at all.  It's going to be complete madness from here on out, but hopefully there will be a few things worth sharing in the end.

The last time I wore these timberland boots the platform split in half while I was walking to class in December.  When I got to school I krazy glued the platform back together, and you can see the glue residue in the second photo.  But last night I wore these out for the first time since they broke in December, and when I was coming home the other shoe tore from the platform.  Walking home it felt like I was wearing a boot/flip flop hybrid.. very unpleasant.

Been a little busy.  Not the exciting kind of busy, but busy nonetheless.  Below is what I wore to my current internship earlier this week.. a lot of same old same old, but bitter weather always throws me into a uniform.  The shoes at the bottom are Gucci (real on the right side, obvi).  I know you might be wondering about confidentiality, but honestly - it's a knock off, not a new previously unseen design.  That, and I'm not so inclined to feel sentimental about any of it since the geriatric accountant where I work told me if I wore heels outside I'd probably be gang raped because I would look so gay.  Apart from making no sense, it would be completely unacceptable to tell a woman she would be gang raped for wearing something, but somehow it's perfectly fine to say to an unpaid male employee.  Whatever..

Let's see, what's been going on.. I've been sick for the past week (miserable!), my last semester of college began (scary!) and I decided to start a blogspot for shoes in place of my tumblr (exciting! find it HERE).  I've added a lot to the new blogspot.. it's just as much a personal resource as it is eye candy for anyone who wishes to look.  I know people love the sharing capabilities of tumblr, but the format really isn't right for what I wanted to do.

Below, some random moments from the past few weeks.  The last photo is from tonight.  One of the cats that lives on campus was sleeping on my bag while I was working, and when I was leaving I picked my bag up and the cat fell right in.  I walked out of the computer lab I was in with the cat in my bag.. which I have been trying to accomplish for three years.  Check that off my bucket list.

Nooooooo, I didn't actually wear these out anywhere.  Just wanted to switch things up.  The only times I've worn them recently was for a drag performance to Marilyn Manson's Dope Show that I did for a feminism class I took last semester.  It wasn't really drag so much as it was me in tall shoes with very poorly applied make up.  That being said, I liked the gangrenous whore face I did for that performance.. the purple glitter lips really pulled it together.

I'm on break, but of course as a senior there really are no breaks, only brief moments to take a breath.  I won't be on my A game in terms of blogging for the next few months, but I'm really excited for my senior show to pass so I can share everything I've been working on.
